Dear God I hope we don’t trade Broadway for Dukes.
Although talented, Dukes is clearly nothing but trouble, I mean he got suspened by management for undisclosed reasons. Not good at all.
Baldelli would be perfect but even with his injuries, he is worth more than Broadway. At least that is what I would think.

I would guess the Devil Rays would laugh and hang up the phone if we offered Broadway for Dukes or Baldelli.

Ryan - I tend to agree with you.

Brian-
Do you think Casto has enough bat to play LF, on a contending team?
Brian J Oliver | 27-Jun-06 at 3:39 pm | Permalink
I believe Casto could develop into a 15-20HR type. If you look at his doubles totals (35, 36, and 17 roughly halfway thru 2006), he has the ability to develop more power. His plate patience also continues to improve this season.
By no means, do I expect a middle of the order (3-4-5) hitter, but he has potential as a #6 hitter, and don’t count out the chances he could bat #2 if needed.

IF Tampa Bay is looking for a first baseman, I would think that the more likely scenario is to trade Nick Johnson for Baldelli and a prospect and promote Broadway.
