Reported at Nats.com:

The Nationals are close to being affiliated with Triple-A Columbus, according to three sources. Washington's contract with New Orleans has expired, and the organization is looking for an affiliate closer to home.

The Nationals also were looking at Triple-A Norfolk, but it appears, according to the sources, that Norfolk will go to another team. The Orioles reportedly have serious interest.
