I don't have the 2006 park factors, but for 2003-2005 Vermont has played as a pretty good hitters park in the NY Penn league (park factors from BTF, at http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/oracle/discussion/34611/). That means that the pitching is probably a little bit better than it looks on the surface, but the offense is even worse. Bad news for guys like Maxwell and DeLaughter.

Man, 5 home runs was the leader? No wonder the Lake Monsters sucked.

What about Lugo? He was an all-star this year and (as I recall) Dana Brown is high on him (or at least has been in the past).

Vermont definitely played as a hitters park this year, judging from the splits here: http://minorleaguesplits.com/cgi-bin/tm.cgi?tm=VerNYP

Scot, Dan Szymborski's 2006 (and weighted '04-06) park factors are up at BTF. Vermont appears to be a pretty good hitter's park for the league, trailing the league in homers.

Ric - Lugo was a consideration, and realistically 8-15 in Vermont are almost interchangeable
