Why is Esmailyn Gonzalez no. 7? Is it because he has yet to play in the states?

Esmailyn is a wild card. There are those out there that really like the guy and expect big things from him. I ranked him as low as I did because I have never seen him play and only had other people's comments as a guide.

The overall point of most if not all of the rankings thus far is that the Nationals prior to 2006 were not very strong in the minors. If you scan the above list, 8 of the top 10 were not in the organization prior to the 2006 draft. And that is pretty consistent across everyone's rankings. Once you take that into account the actual placing of the guys from 1-10 or 1-20 is really a shot in the dark.

How come BP ranked Balester #2 and Sickels ranked him at #13 back in November? Is BP putting more stock in his 3 starts at Harrisburg than Sickels is?

I have a preliminary agreement with John to answer a few questions a la Aaron and Deric, I can ask him then.
