Pitching - over the top slot, long and easy arm action, very good arm speed, good rhythm delivery, pours FB downhill, easy FB cheese, has two-seamer, CB with good spin and depth, hard SL, drifts a bit on CB, can be solid #2 pitch, potential out pitch, showed CU, straight, keeps down, very projectable arm.
Aflac All-American baseball profile: “loose, fluid delivery which he repeats well, enabling him to pound the strike zone with two plus pitches. His fastball sits between 91-95 mph and he complements it with one of the best changeups among the high school Class of 2007.”
Like Porcello, Harvey has commited to North Carolina, he is considered the top high school arm available, he could very likely be off the board when the Nationals select at #6.
