What is the significance of the accelerated minor league roster?

Many of them are the top prospects who were not invited to the big league camp as part of the 40-man or non-roster invitees. It allows the Nationals to target their instruction and watch the guys as part of spring training.

I don’t see Jhonny Nunez on the Big Board. So where did he come from? How did he become part of the organization?

The Big Board will be updated after spring training. Nunez was acquired last August from the Dodgers in exchange for Marlon Anderson.

So does this mean that Dan Dement will be in the Nationals farm system again? And if so, what level?
Thanks!

Neal - Yes, Dement is likely to remain in the Nats system. I’m working on getting all of the rosters some time this week
