Detwiler is all about projectability. PGCrosschecker describes him as having “an outstanding arm with electric stuff … but lacks a consistent, rhythmic delivery, leading to inconsistent command. But he creates good deception and his pitches have excellent life in the strike zone, making him difficult to hit.” He could go anywhere in the first 50 selections, with much to be determined by how much upside a selecting team sees in him.
