Repertoire: mid-90s fastball, developing breaking pitch/changeup
Kunz has taken over as closer for the defending College World Series Champion Beavers, replacing 2006 5th round selection Kevin Gunderson (Atlanta). Kunz is a groundball pitcher with a heavy fastball, he needs to develop a stronger secondary pitch to progress to the next level. At present, Kunz is likely a supplemental first round selection.

That would leave the Nationals some intriguing possibilities, to include: college RHSP Andrew Brackman from NC State (near 7 footer who needs more development), college OF Julio Borbon from Tennessee (CF prospect a couple years from the majors), HS SS Justin Jackson (one of the best all-around players in the draft), and RHSP Rick Porcello (hard throwing high schooler)
