Clippers RHRP Chris Booker is the lone Columbus representative on the 2007 International League All-Star team. Booker is 1-2 with a 3.74ERA 1.25WHIP in 33 appearances. He has struck out 42 batters in 33 2/3 innings of work and his 20 saves are second most in the International League. The 2007 Triple-A All-Star Game is scheduled for July 11 in Albuquerque, NM.

So, nu?, what do we expect the long range plans for Booker to be? A call up anytime soon? Or Sept? Or next year? What’s the conventional (or unconventional) wisdom on this?

I’d imagine that Booker will be one of the first options if Rauch or Ayala or Chief are traded. He’d just take his place behind the two that remained as RHPRP

He’s already had one (last season) and they basically know what they have with him. He’s not the closer of the future (he’s 30 years old) but he can be a contributor to a major league bullpen
