The Clippers got most of their offense from the top of the order where CF Brandon Watson, 2B/3B Brent Abernathy, and LF/RF George Lombard combined for 10 of the 15 Columbus hits, 3 of the 5 runs scored, and 4 of the 5 RBI. Sean Rooney started it with a one-out, bloop single to right. Jake Rogers slapped a grounder between short and third. Dan Lyons deftly laid down a bunt near the fringe of the infield grass on the third-base side, and beat out the throw by a step.
