Marrero has been splitting time with Bill Rhinehart at 1B in the Instructionals. I think it was pretty easy to write him off as an overhyped suspect prospect especially after his struggles last year. But it’s also easy to forget that he was pushed too fast, which wasn’t his fault, and that he is still pretty young. He not only hit better when he was moved to the top of the order but over the season he improved his walk totals, power numbers, K’s, and SBs from last year as well. It should be interesting to see which Desmond shows up next year. Aside from Flores, the rest of the top catching prospects aren't of the top 10 variety.
