Additionally, the new MLB CBA grants compensation for unsigned selections from the 2007 draft. The following picks will be added to the 2008 draft:

• The following 2nd round picks were not signed granting the teams a pick in roughly the same location as they drafted in 2007 (e.g. Atlanta drafted their player at #69 therefore will receive #69A in 2008, a pick after 2008 #69 but before 2008 #70):
  • Atlanta will get selection 69A for not signing Josh Fields
  • Boston will get selection 84A for not signing Hunter Morris
• The following sandwich picks will be added in a supplemental 3rd round for unsigned 2007 3rd round picks (these picks will be made after the 2008 3rd round and before the 2008 4th round)
  • Philadelphia for Brandon Workman
  • Houston for Derek Dietrich
  • San Diego for Tommy Toledo
  • Anaheim for Matt Harvey
