The Clippers were blanked by the Knights 3-0, managing only three hits in the defeat (box). CF Ryan Langerhans was 2/3 and RF/2B Kory Casto was 1/4. RHP Collin Balester started and took the loss. He went 4 1/3 innings allowing all three runs on five hits and two walks.

RF Justin Maxwell was 1/3 with two runs scored, three RBI and a solo home run. 1B Luis Jimenez was 1/3 with the game-winning three-run home run in the tenth. LF Mike Daniel was 1/3 with two walks, a run scored and two stolen bases. SS Ian Desmond was 2/5 with one RBI and a run scored. RHP Bobby Brownlie started, going five innings allowing four runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts.

Game 2 - DH Luis Jimenez (Patriot News profile) was 3/3 with his second home run is as many games (a two-run shot). 3B Yurendell de Caster was 1/4 with a two-run home run. CA Luke Montz was also 1/4 with a two-run home run. CF Justin Maxwell was 1/4 with a stolen base. RHP Shairon Martis started allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings of work. RHP Beltran Perez picked up the win with three innings of two hit/one run relief with two walks and four strikeouts.

The P-Nats blew a three-run lead, allowing four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning in a 5-4 loss to Salem on Saturday evening (box/gamer). RHP Adam Carr took the loss allowing four runs on three hits and one walk without retiring a batter. 1B Chris Marrero was 1/4 with a double. 2B Matt Rogelstad, DH Dee Brown, and CF Frank Diaz were all 2/4. CA Brian Peacock was 1/4 with a pair of RBI.

Stephen King finally played the field, playing 3B and going 0/4. CF Stephen Englund was 2/4 with a double and one run scored. RHP Cole Kimball made the start allowing one run on one hit and two walks over five innings of work while striking out seven. LHP Atahualpa Severino blew the save, allowing a run on two hits and one walk in two innings of relief. RHP Martin Beno took the loss allowing two runs on three hits and two walks in just 2/3 of an inning of work.
