I've always been a fan of Smoak. Hosmer and his $$$ demands will chase away Kasten & Lerners. I'm in the Rizzo camp with the philosophy of..a good college player with 3 years of college competition is better than a high school prospect who is still immature and developing... or put another way..I know what I getting with a college player but I not sure of what I getting with a high-schooler.

I saw Smoak play last summer with Team USA and it was the most dominating single game display ive ever seen (it was the highlight of his summer tho). He doubled to the left field gap right handed, right field gap left handed and then hit a bomb to left right handed (after one hopping the wall down the right field line just foul earlier in the at bat). I love Marrero but you never know what could happen, Id love to have him.

Brian: are you considering Pedro Alavrez a 3B?

Chris - Yes, I'll have Alvarez listed as the #1 3B. I was tempted to include hime here but that would have made the list insanely top heavy.

I may also include Wallace as a 3B and Raben as an OF depending upon how the lists look.

On a related topic, what are the Nats' needs (by position) for the draft?? By that I mean, are we focusing on 1B, OF, etc.???
