Game one: 19-year old RHP Luis Jimenez started for the Nats2, going six strong shutout innings without allowing hit, walking four and striking out five. 20-year old 3B Earving Fernandez and 21-year old PH/DH Hector Benzant had the only two Nats2 hits, both singles. Game two: 20-year old LHP Francisco Vizcaino surrendered five runs on seven hits and two walks over 3 1/3IP but the Nats2 bullpen held the Padres hitless over the final 3 2/3 innings with 20-year old RHP Derlyn Tejada picking up his second win of the season. 21-year old SS Francisco Frias was 2/3 with a double and three RBI.
